Site Engineer

Right now, I'm looking for a Site Engineer to start in ASAP for a role based in Essex. The project is a £50m new build and is currently in the ground.

As a Site Engineer, you'll be the technical backbone on-site, ensuring that construction and engineering projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards. You'll work closely with a project manager, sub-contractors, and design teams to bring blueprints to life.

Requirements for the Site Engineer:

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • First aid (is a bonus)
  • Knowledge of steel frame
  • Main contractor experience

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out setting out, surveying and dimensional control for site works
  • Interpret and work from drawings, specifications and construction information
  • Support day‑to‑day engineering activities on site
  • Assist with planning and coordinating works to meet programme deadlines
  • Liaise with subcontractors, supervisors and the wider project team
  • Ensure works comply with quality standards, specifications and tolerances
  • Maintain accurate site records, as‑built information and site diaries
  • Arrange and monitor material testing and calibration of equipment
  • Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
  • Support the site management team with additional duties as required
